We believe in ‘Divine is Everything’. And so, the school trains the students to learn slokas, bhajans, prayers and devotional songs to inculcate the consciousness of God along with academics. Temple visit is a part of our school curriculum for high school students. So, we visit temples twice in a year to seek the blessings of God by offering prayers and bhajans faithfully to Him. 

On Thursday, 30.8.2019, our school students of classes VIII, IX and X along with the spiritual teacher Ms. Kamakshi and the Pragyna wing teacher Mr. Shashidhara visited Anjaneya Swamy Temple, near fort, Ballari. The schedule for the visit was 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

On this occasion, our school Chairman Sri K. Channappa, Smt. K. Seshu Channappa and the Chief of our school Mr. K. Anil Babu visited Anjaneya Swamy Temple to perform Puja and worship Lord Anjaneya Swami.   

After reaching the temple, the students sat in the premises of the temple methodically and offered their prayers to Sri Kote Anjaneya Swami, beginning with Gayatri mantra. Later, they chanted Vedic Mantra Pushpam. Then they sang a bhajan ‘Ganesha saranam Ganesha saranam...’ with devotion. After that they chanted enthusiastically Sri Dakshinamurthi Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa, Anjaneya Dandakam and so on as per the programme schedule. The premises echoed with devotional chantings such as slokas, bhajans, Sri Vishnusahasranama Stotram, the twelfth chapter of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita. Also, the students meditated for ten minutes in two intervals each during the programme.  

The priest of the temple performed puja to Lord Anjaneya and other deities in the temple on behalf of us. After the Puja and Aarathi, he distributed Prasadam, the blessings of Divine Power, to every one of us.

Thus, this visit was an opportunity to our students to enhance their spiritual awareness. This temple visit enabled our students to strengthen themselves spiritually and morally, and hence to be successful in life with the blessings of God.
