Centre II (Class I to Class IV) celebrated the Centre Festival 3
(An Activity Day) on the theme - ‘Ganesh Festival’ on Wednesday,
12 September 2018.
The theme ‘Ganesh Festival’ was to
teach the students about ‘Intelligence and importance of Lord Ganesh’.
On the day of Centre Festival, 120 students took part in this celebration. It
was celebrated from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with great pomp and gaiety.
The stage was decorated with the set of Mount
Kailash and the screen with the pictures of 21 forms of Ganesh to make this
event more cheerful and meaningful. The students of class IV welcomed each and
every one by chanting the names of Ganesh with drums. The programme began with
an invocation song followed by lightning of the ceremonial lamp.
The event comprised of anchoring, watching videos,
group dances and skits about ‘Birth of Lord Ganesha’, ‘Why does Lord Ganesha
has a mouse as his vehicle?’, ‘Ganesh’s intelligence’ and ‘Why should we not
see moon on Ganesh Chaturthi?’ On these topics dances and skits were presented
with the properties made by the drawing material, thermoform and etc. These topics
were selected to ensure students know about Lord Ganesh and his personality. Dances,
skits and videos entertained the students and gave information on ‘Ganesh
Festival’.
At the end of the programme some valuable
suggestions were given by our chief Mr. K Anil
Babu to the students and teachers for the betterment in future. The programme
ended with vote of thanks. Through this festival, students learnt why we
celebrate Ganesh festival and the importance of Lord Ganesh.
