A Report on Centre Festival 2: (Ganesh Festival)

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in honour of Sri Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. He is the younger son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. He is called as the remover of obstacles and is worshipped at the beginning of any new work, journey or ceremony for success and good luck. Because of his qualities of wisdom, kindness and protection, Sri Ganesha is loved by children and elders alike.
On Tuesday, 26th August 2025, the Foundation Centre II organised a Centre Festival on the theme ‘Ganesh Festival’. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the birth and different forms of Ganesha – Veera Ganesha, Siddhivinayaka, Sankashtahara Ganapathi.
The venue of the Centre Festival was ‘Pascul’ building which was decorated beautifully based on the theme. The programme began with the installation of Sri Ganesha’s idol on the stage which was beautifully decorated with flowers. Later, teachers light the lamp before the idol of Sri Ganesh with a prayer song sung by students.
The programme was highlighted by the theme of “Ganesha” with different subthemes of different forms of Sri Ganesha. The programme also comprised with the theme related video-clippings, skits and dances performed by the students highlighted and entertained everyone with a message.
The Centre Festival was a successful one in acknowledging the students with the information about the birth and different forms of Sri Ganesha. This splendid festival has not only showcased our vibrant cultural heritage but has also reinforced the importance of community and shared values. We are also reminded to use eco-friendly idols of Sri Ganesha which are safe for environment and people..
