An orientation programme on ‘Interaction with Gita’ was organized in our school. This orientation was conducted on Wednesday, 29 November 2023 addressed by Sri Sri Sushreendra Theertha Swamiji, Sri Puthige Matha, Udupi. The Chief of our school Mr. K. Anil Babu and the students of class VIII to X attended the orientation. Our VAG Army Secretaries and Pragyana Head felicitated Swamiji with a garland as a token of love and respect. 

Sri Sri Sushreendra Theertha Swamiji was invited with the rhythmic chanting of Veda mantras by our students under the guidance of Ms. Kamakshi, the spiritual teacher of our school. The programme was started after the ‘Gow Puja’ in our school. Swamiji was startled and impressed when students chanted mantras, which was not witnessed by him in any of the schools that he visited so far. He then began the orientation by appreciating the management for inculcating ethical values and vedic culture along with the regular academics. 

Swamiji addressed the students and interpreted the essence in Gita, which describes about the ‘Renouncement of the fruits of labour’ which means that we should only lay emphasis on the performance of our work without expecting the desired result. It meant that success and failure is to be even-tempered and that we must surrender ourselves completely to the dharma. He also mentioned that we should have sankalpam in doing things which ultimately links with yogyatha and courage. He also stressed that the essence of Gita is Bhakti Yoga which means that we must remember God or Krishna in every moment of our life.

Swamiji felicitated our Chief Mr. K. Anil Babu and cordially invited him for the Sri Krishna Puja Paryaaya Festival at Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi. The programme was concluded by chanting the shlokas by our students.
