A REPORT ON PRASTHAN EXHIBITION - 2023-2024

 Venue: Dream World School.                                                                               2023–2024

‘Prasthan Exhibition’ is a Science Exhibition to showcase the talents of students and to promote creativity. In order to endorse research skills and ignite innovative ideas among students, we organize ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ every year in our school. This is a great opportunity for our students to drive their competencies in thinking, creative and scientific skills. We believe that one should learn science by practical or experimental approach rather than mere reading textbooks or theory.

This exhibition cultivates scientific approach and reasoning skills among the aspirants. This is also a platform for the students to exhibit their models in CBSE Science Exhibition in Regional Level at Bangalore, later in National Level at New Delhi.

Bagging two first prizes at National level CBSE Science Exhibition 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 in two different themes is a significant milestone for our students achievement. This achievement is an inspiration and a benchmark for all other students to dream their goals and strive to fulfil them

On Monday, 21 August 2023 and Tuesday, 22 August 2023, the student teams of classes VI to IX presented their Projects/Models ardently for the screening test. They were assessed by the respective subject teachers. The best 59 exhibits were selected for ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ out of 109 exhibits in all, as they scored 50%, and above in the assessment.

On Saturday, 26 August 2023, the ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ commenced at 10:00 a.m. by lighting the lamp followed by a welcome speech by the ‘Prasthan Wing’ Student leader Sampath J. of class IX. In order to arouse curiosity and build scientific temper among students we explained the origin of universe using videos. Later, our principal inspired the students with her motivational speech to work hard in their respective fields and declared the exhibition open.

The exhibition was open for all the students, school parents and well-wishers from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This exhibition included still models, working models and study based projects which were innovative and notable. The projects echoed the theme - ‘SCIENTIFIC SOLUTIONS FOR CHALLENGES IN LIFE’. Some of the models were ‘Gravity Powered Light’, ‘Pushpa Prakruthi’, ‘Plastic Waste Electricity’, ‘Women Safety GSM Buzzer’, ‘IOT Based Home Automation’.

The visitors went through all the models of the exhibition with curiosity. Students explained the details of their respective models to the visitors enthusiastically and also collected their valuable feedback. Students received critics and compliments from the visitors for their team efforts. These critics and compliments filled zeal in the minds of students to work determinedly in the years to come.

Thus, the ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ was well organized and boosted the confidence levels of our students.
