A Report on Sri Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple Visit.

Class: VIII – X                                                                                         2023-2024

‘If the curriculum we use to teach our children does not connect in positive ways to the culture of young people who come to school, it is doomed to failure’. Hence, the school trains the students to learn slokas, bhajans, prayers and devotional songs to inculcate the consciousness of God along with academics. Temple visit is a part of our school curriculum for high school students. We visit temples twice in a year to seek the blessings of God by offering prayers and bhajans faithfully to Him.

On Thursday, 30 August 2023, our school students of Classes VIII to X visited Kote Anjaneya  Swamy  Temple,  near  Fort,  Ballari  with  the  school  Chairman  Sri  K. Channappa, Smt. K. Seshu Channappa and the Chief Mr. K. Anil Babu to perform Puja and worship Lord Anjaneya Swami between 10:15 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

After reaching the temple, the students sat in the premises of the temple systematically and offered their prayers to Sri Kote Anjaneya Swami. The premises echoed with the devotional chantings of Gayatri Mantra, the Vedic Mantra Pushpam and with the bhajans like ‘Om Kaareshwara..’, ‘Hanuman Chalisa…’, ‘Veera Maaruthi..’ with devotion.  They also chanted Sri Vishnusahasranama Stotram, the fifth chapter of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita. The students also meditated for ten minutes in two intervals each during the programme.

After the puja and aarathi, the priest distributed prasadam, the blessings of Divine Power, to every one of us.

Thus, this visit was an opportunity to our students to enhance their spiritual awareness which also enabled our students to strengthen themselves spiritually and morally, and hence to be successful in life with the blessings of God.
