“Story Writing Orientation  2019 -2020”


                        Stories are the key areas to improve memory, language skills and early literature skill. It sparks the child's imaginative skills. It makes children to read better and understand the stories written by different authors. It also develops communicative skills and social skills. 

           With this object on Monday, 23 December 2019, Dream World School organized a “Story Writing” orientation for classes VI to IX under the Saga 7 wing. Dr. Divya was the orator of this session. 

             Dr. Divya has completed her MBBS, MD. and is now working as an Associate professor in the department of Pathology, VIMS Ballari. Many of her stories and essays are published in the leading news papers and magazines of the state. She has also won many prizes at the state level essay writing competition.

         Dr. Divya motivated the children to read and write stories. She gave a clear picture on how to write stories. This habit takes children to the different world where they can introduce new ideas into their literary world.
           She also gave the tips how to write stories like a Fiction, a Biography, or an Autobiography.  Introduction of the story should be interesting and it should have memorable characters, good language, and well developed theme; then the reader chooses to read and enjoy while reading.

           She presented different stories which are written by great writers. It helped the children how to think differently, use the power of observation, discover the hidden meaning, and to stress on extensive reading and writing habits. 

            At the end of the session students were asked to choose a topic from the four topics given and write a short story on it. Students participated very enthusiastically in writing stories. The activity helped students to improve their confidence level on writing skill. The session ended with the active narration of stories written by the students.
