A REPORT ON PRASTHAN EXHIBITION
Venue: Dream World School. 2019–2020
‘Prasthan Exhibition’ is a platform to showcase the talents of student and promote creativity in multidiscipline. In order to endorse research skills and ignite innovative ideas among students, we organize ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ every year in our school. This is a great opportunity for our students to drive their competencies in creative thinking and scientific skills.
The exhibition creates the chance for the students to exhibit their models in CBSE Science Exhibition in Regional Level at Bangalore, later in National Level at New Delhi. Few models from this were selected and won at nationals. It is a significant milestone for our students achievement. This achievement is an inspiration and a benchmark for all other students to dream their goals and strive to fulfil them.
On 21 and 22 August 2019, the student teams of classes VI to IX ardently presented their Projects/Models based on the theme - ‘Scientific Solution for Challenges in Life’ for the assessment. The best 34 exhibits were selected for ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ out of 107 exhibits in all, as they scored 50% and above in the assessment as per the criteria set.
On Saturday, 24 August 2019, the ‘Prasthan Exhibition’ commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome speech by our school secretary. The inauguration of the programme was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp along with an invocation song by our students. The students presented about the importance of Prasthan Exhibition, briefed about Sir C.V. Raman and his notable works in the field of science, gave the information on the harmonic nature of sound waves discovered by Sir C.V. Raman through a musical concert.
The Principal, Ms.Parimala C.M. encouraged the students to enhance their researching skills and declared the Exhibition ‘Open'. The exhibition was open for all the students, parents and well-wishers between 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Our chief Mr. K. Anil Babu visited every model and gave valuable suggestions to upgrade the models in the perspective of developing the society. The students explained the details of their respective models to the visitors enthusiastically and also collected their valuable feedback. Students received both critics and compliments from the visitors for their team efforts. These critics and compliments filled the zeal in the minds of the students to work with determination in the years to come.
