YOGA TRAINING

AND

CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. In order to serve the benefits of yoga to our students and with a view to celebrate the ‘International Yoga Day’ the school had organized a ‘Yoga Training Programme’ in the school campus from Thursday, 6th June 2019 to 20th June 2019 under the guidance, support and supervision of Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Ballari.

The Yoga training program was commenced by the organisers of the ‘Patanjali Yoga Samiti’ - Mr. Isvi Pampapathi, Mr. P. P. Yerriswamy, Mr. Nataraj and Mr. Krishna Reddy. Later, the training sessions were conducted by Mr. Krishna Reddy for the students of class VI to class IX. The training included the yoga techniques of pranayama like Bhastrika Pranayama, Kapalbhati Pranayama and aasanas like Padamasana, Tadasana, Trikonasana etc. and also Surya Namaskara. The last event was Hasyayoga (Laughing yoga). This yoga training energized the students to celebrate the International Day of Yoga with enough confidence and spirit.

The 5th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with perseverance on 21st June, 2019 between 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The school management, staff and well-wishers were the spectators when the students were performing yoga.

Our school students Kum. Sirekolla Rohitha Priya of class VIII, Chi. Raghavendra Reddy C. of class VII and Kum. Priyal S. Kokanay of class VII were extolled by Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Ballari for their best performance of yogasanas.

This programme excited and motivated everyone in spreading awareness and also set a platform for their future involvement in Yoga and other health activities.

The school is thankful for the support given by the team of Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Ballari and Mr. Krishna Reddy for giving his valuable time in making this Yoga Training and the Celebration of International Yoga Day successful.
