Vaikuntha Ekadashi is one of the
important and auspicious day of Hindus. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is staunchly believed by all the devotees
that ‘Vaikunthadwara’ the gate of Lord’s inner sanctum opens on this day. This
Ekadasi is also called “Mukkoti Ekadasi” and the people who pass through “Vaikunta
Dwaram” in every temple are assured of a place in Swarga or heaven.
On 18 December
2018, the students of classes VIII, IX and few students from classes V to VII,
along with the spiritual teacher Ms. Kamakshi, VAG India Trust Chairman Sri. K.
Channappa, Smt. K. Seshu Channappa, the Chief Mr. K. Anil Babu and some
teachers visited Balaji Temple, Balaji Nagar, Ballari on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi.
With the fidelity in their hearts, the students
chanted Vishnusahasranama stotra, 8th chapter of BhagavadGita and sang
some bhajans. Meditation was part of the programme in which the students
meditated twice with 5 minutes interval each. After the programme, the students
took the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara and later prasadam was served to all
the students.
