The goal of the Swachh
Bharat Mission is to transform urban India into Community- driven, Healthy and
Liveable Cities. In this regard as part of the IEC and Capacity Building
Activities it was planned to conduct a Swacch
Quiz - 2018 Competition from July to September 2018, for School Children
studying in 8th to 12th standard.

Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded with the work of conducting Swacch Quiz
-2018 in 24 districts of the state. 4-10 students from each School/College
across the district were selected to participate in the Quiz programme, forming
teams of 2 members each. Swacch Quiz was organised in Ballari (the 12th
district for the competition). 300 students took part in this competition.
Among the 150 teams, 5
teams from our school participated in this Quiz Competition that was organised
in Joladarashi Doddanagouda Rangamandira Ballari, on Saturday 11th
August 2018.
The programme started with a
prayer song followed by lighting the Lamp. The quiz was organised on a variety
of topics like hygiene, environmental protection, history, culture, literature,
science and technology.
The Quiz in total had 6
rounds including the preliminary round. Out of 150 teams, only 6 teams were
qualified for the finals. Our School students Gauri M.
and Poojitha A. were selected for the
final round.
The Final Round included 4 rounds based buzzer
system. Our school students Gauri M. and Poojitha A. won the 1st
Prize in the Swacch Quiz – 2018 and were awarded with the cash prize of Rs.10,000/-.
Saanvi S. Konde and Tejashwini S.P. of Dream World School were also awarded
with the Certificate of Consolation for their enthusiastic participation.
